Bells Are Ringing...

With so much love in the air this week, I've been thinking about weddings; my wedding day back in 2010 was the best day of my life!

Everyone loves a wedding and I've come across some beautiful accessories online. So, if you have a wedding in the diary this year, take a look!
Rosie Willett Designs .... oh where were you when I was planning my wedding? There's so many things I like, I wouldn't know which to choose!
A) The Bryony Wedding Hair Vine can be worn to suit your hairstyle, as the wire design makes it so flexible. You can be truly unique on your very special day!

B) This gorgeous Coco Flower Headpiece is great for long and short hair and ideal if you're looking for something to compliment your guest outfit. With eight colours to choose from, you can't go wrong.

C) Let's not leave out the groom, Rosie Willett Designs also produce delicate button holes - why shouldn't the man get something glitzy too?

D) This Vintage Wedding Bouquet will never die and can be kept for years to come; perhaps passed down through generations to be loved again and again.

Of course Etsy is full of accessories for the big day...
E) You know I love hearts and I love birds, so these great bird seed favours caught my eye - how quirky?!

F) Simple and really effective, these cake toppers are a real tweet...

G) Something for the big day and a souvenir for the home, this Wedding Unity Candle Holder is perfect.

So with all of this inspiration, perhaps Mr P and I need to do it all again and renew our vows??!

Love Is In The Air...

After a busy week, I needed to make a quick Valentine card for my husband
A basic crochet heart with an added heart button made a very quick embellishment
I used a rub-on transfer for the greeting
and a red paper inlay finished it off

Tiddly Om Pom Pom

The snowfall left me itching to crochet a new hat.
I found this ear flap hat pattern on Ravelry - courtest of Knittwittz
It didn't take long to make up as I used chunky wool and a 5mm hook. I added a pom-pom to my attempt - haven't made one since I was a kid!
Wool plait tassels added the finishing touch

The White Stuff

We've had a day of falling snow (and a cosy day working from home), so a chance to wrap up and take some photos

Early this morning, a photo taken from my window, overlooking the field
I tweeted this to my local newspaper and it made it onto their website
The birds were very active in the garden
As the afternoon arrived, so did the sledgers on the hill
The lane at the back of our house looked magical
No work tomorrow, so us 'big kids' are planning to get out there with our sledge!
