Under The Sea

These sets of earrings have two things in common; both are using materials from the sea and both are super quick to make.

Shells:

I sourced two similar shells from my shell jar (doesn't everyone have a shell jar?!?). My husband used a craft drill to carefully make a hole into the top of each shell.

I then took two loops off a broken keychain and attached them to the shell and then to the earring fish hooks.

Pearls:

On to a small hanging hoop, I threaded my pearls. I used Gutermann pearl beads and some pearl buttons off a broken necklace.

Using pliers I simply secured this to the fish hooks.

Everything Stops For Tea

I recently came across the ball of yarn I used to for my Mini Crocheted Votives and wanted to use it again, so a quick project was needed.

This coaster pattern (plus photo tutorial!) can be found over at The Yvestown Blog and using bright yarn, it's great for the summer.

The yarn is Patons Smoothie DK in colour 02020. I used a 4mm hook and made them up in record time.

Make them for yourself or bundle them together with some ribbon and give as a gift.
