Simon the Cowl

This great cowl pattern can be found right here and it was made with just one of these...
... an 8mm hook and a couple of buttons I salvaged from an old pair of boots!

'Simon' can be worn in many ways...
The buttons can be fastened anywhere...
Head over to Jennifer's blog to get the pattern and get cozy this winter!

That looks so cosy and sort of easy to knit.

Cripes, what size hook did you use, bet it grows really quickly... I think you look as snug as a bug in a rug in your Simon! :)

It came together really quick - done in about an hour - and I'm not a quick crocheter :)

I always admire crochet and knitting as I gave up years ago, but the question that is bugging me is why Simon???

I only recently got into crocheting, but it's so much faster than knitting isn't it - I'm converted! This is a fabulous piece and that elusive combination of cosy and classy! :)

I love the fact you've recycled your buttons from your boots. Your 'Simon' Cowl is lovely. Much nicer than the grumpy one on the tv. Have a lovely week.

So cool - and so versatile! I'm not really a big fan of scarves as I never quite know how to squish them into my jacket, so a cowl would be an idea! Ha ha, and I love that you named him Simon ;-)
